Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve the Elastic Build Kubernetes-based pipeline.
- Maintain and evolve the Melange package build tool with a focus on stability and operational excellence.
- Design and implement automation for package rebuild and review workflows.
- Develop monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and automated remediation systems.
- Help define the roadmap for build and update services for Chainguard OS.
- Document systems, architecture, and operational practices for team knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to distro-level package updates to ensure Chainguard OS security and reliability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend or distributed systems.
- Strong experience developing production services in Go.
- Experience designing and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native application design.
- Experience building developer platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, or related systems.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment.
