Responsibilities
- Own technically complex, mission-critical areas and deliver outcomes with substantial autonomy.
- Define technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities, including backend services, APIs, and customer-facing interfaces.
- Design and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile platforms.
- Build and scale data ingestion, APIs, and workflows for AI-driven products.
- Lead cross-team projects from inception through rollout and translate ambiguous customer problems into technical plans.
- Partner with product, design, customer success, and other customer-facing teams.
- Provide code reviews, design reviews, technical mentorship, and engineering culture leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software design and development experience, including building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend web or mobile development.
- Proficiency with modern languages and frameworks such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or React.
- Experience leading cross-team or cross-organization projects and delivering measurable impact.
- Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products and turning AI capabilities into customer-facing products.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience shipping production AI features such as LLM-based products, agentic workflows, or recommendation systems.
- Preferred experience with operational data such as telematics, sensor data, work orders, or inspections.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing engineering standards beyond a single team.
- Side projects, open-source contributions, or other evidence of curiosity and drive are preferred.
