Responsibilities
- Work on projects to drive higher cost efficiency in cloud infrastructure.
- Reduce network egress costs by optimizing unnecessary headers.
- Select the most efficient storage solutions for warehouse data.
- Optimize autoscaling for databases and compute resources.
- Improve cost attribution visibility for engineering teams.
- Participate in incident support and on-call rotations.
- Contribute to problem-solving and approve PRs requiring platform supervision.
Requirements
- Strong background in SRE, DevOps, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Good analytical capabilities for system design.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of major cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and related tools like Kustomize and Helm.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies, preferably Istio.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TLS, and certificates.
- Experience with observability tools, preferably Datadog.
- Knowledge of security practices including IAM and RBAC.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
- Experience with database technologies.
- Competence in scripting with Bash and Python or other languages.
