Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for mission-critical trading systems, including order management, execution engines, and reliability infrastructure.
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects from design through production delivery.
- Lead system design and code review processes and establish engineering standards for the trading stack.
- Partner with Product Management and Design on product strategy, technical investments, and roadmap priorities.
- Identify high-leverage technical initiatives and build consensus across organizational boundaries.
- Coach engineers at multiple levels and develop future trading infrastructure leaders.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
- Have hands-on experience building or operating traditional or crypto trading systems, including order management, execution, market data, or risk management components.
- Demonstrate leadership of complex cross-team initiatives from ambiguous problem statements through measurable outcomes.
- Translate product requirements into scalable system designs and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Have experience with performant backend languages in production trading environments.
- Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
