Base Salary
$186k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate low-latency trading systems covering matching, order entry, risk, market data, and funding rate computation.
- Own reliability, correctness, incident response, and failover design for 24/7 production systems processing high-throughput financial data.
- Write high-quality, well-tested performance-critical backend code optimized for latency and throughput.
- Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and engineering leadership to translate strategy into deliverables and milestones.
- Drive technical design decisions, write proposals, and build consensus with peers and technical leads.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production trading, exchange, or large-scale financial infrastructure systems.
- Deep proficiency in a backend language such as Java, C++, or Go, plus JVM or Linux performance-tuning experience.
- Experience designing and operating highly reliable distributed systems with demanding correctness, throughput, and uptime requirements.
- Experience partnering with Product and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver complex technical projects on clear timelines.
- Interest in crypto and institutional markets, with deep crypto experience listed as a plus rather than a requirement.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight and improving workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
