Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in architecture-level planning and implementation.
- Design, develop, support, and improve enterprise Kubernetes solutions, products, and infrastructure.
- Build software platforms and frameworks, conduct capacity planning, and support services through launch reviews.
- Drive proofs of concept and minimum viable products for demonstrations.
- Troubleshoot applications and processes while maintaining system capacity and performance.
- Document projects and share knowledge with users, engineering teams, product teams, sales teams, and open-source communities.
- Derive and guide solutions from ambiguous or incomplete requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least 10 years of software and infrastructure engineering experience.
- Deep expertise designing, building, and operating production Kubernetes and Go services at scale.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem, including operators, custom controllers, CRDs, Helm, and the API machinery.
- Mastery of Linux and cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience building Kubernetes operators, custom controllers, or a Kubernetes distribution is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent working, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
