Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement resilient interactions between streaming client libraries and the control plane.
- Optimize the high-throughput, low-level streaming library for performance and efficiency.
- Provide developer support, technical documentation, and proactive troubleshooting for internal users.
- Lead high-stakes technical projects with end-to-end accountability for delivery and quality.
- Collaborate with partner teams on projects beyond the immediate team’s scope.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns and promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in low-level programming languages, ideally Rust.
- Experience with performance optimization and debugging complex systems.
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and leading high-impact technical initiatives.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and work collaboratively.
- Passion for developer experience, technical ownership, and deep-dive investigations.
- Experience operating or using large-scale streaming systems such as Kafka is preferred.
- Familiarity with language bindings and foreign function interfaces is preferred.
