Base Salary

$192k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement resilient interactions between streaming client libraries and the control plane.
  • Optimize the high-throughput, low-level streaming library for performance and efficiency.
  • Provide developer support, technical documentation, and proactive troubleshooting for internal users.
  • Lead high-stakes technical projects with end-to-end accountability for delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate with partner teams on projects beyond the immediate team’s scope.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns and promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in low-level programming languages, ideally Rust.
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging complex systems.
  • Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and leading high-impact technical initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Passion for developer experience, technical ownership, and deep-dive investigations.
  • Experience operating or using large-scale streaming systems such as Kafka is preferred.
  • Familiarity with language bindings and foreign function interfaces is preferred.
