Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant, and user-friendly Android applications.
- Collaborate with iOS, backend, and feature-based teams to align specifications and support cross-platform integration.
- Drive technical improvements, architecture enhancements, codebase modernization, and technical documentation.
- Improve accessibility, battery usage, memory management, load times, app performance, and user experience.
- Use analytics and metrics to optimize engagement, performance, and app health based on user behavior.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, best-practice sharing, and support for technical excellence.
- Contribute to process improvements involving incident management, release processes, and mobile development workflows.
Requirements
- 6+ years of extensive Android software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, Android architecture, software architecture patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing and a commitment to testable, maintainable code.
- Ability to drive technical strategy and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, scalability, and documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills and a customer-centric approach when working with iOS, backend, hybrid, product, and UX teams.
- Willingness to learn new mobile tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Nice to have experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile, React Native, GraphQL, REST APIs, backend integrations, UI/UX design, or interface consistency.
