Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time machine control software for industrial metal 3D printing systems.
- Build multithreaded modern C++ applications for motion control, automation, and machine orchestration.
- Develop and maintain GUI applications for machine monitoring, diagnostics, and control.
- Create simulation and modeling tools to validate machine behavior and improve performance and reliability.
- Design calibration routines, fault detection logic, and automated maintenance workflows.
- Integrate software with complex mechatronic systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on production hardware.
- Contribute to software architecture, code quality standards, CI/CD workflows, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++.
- Experience developing multithreaded and/or real-time software applications.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Familiarity with build systems and tooling such as CMake.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and systems-level thinking skills.
- Preferred experience with Qt GUI development, OpenCV or other computer vision frameworks, Python, industrial automation, robotics, control systems, motion control, digital signal processing, MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, GitHub Actions, automated testing, and electromechanical hardware integration.
- Preferred experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or high-performance engineering environments.
