Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of major features and components in support of Developer Experience.
- Determine technical approaches and methods for complex, ambiguous assignments without an established playbook.
- Partner with engineering teams and architecture to shape solutions before implementation.
- Build technical credibility and working relationships beyond the immediate team.
- Establish and champion engineering best practices across teams.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer outcomes.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and help expand their technical judgment and ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, or another technology stack; full-stack experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.
- Deep expertise in relevant frontend and/or backend technologies, including cloud architecture experience.
- Professional hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Devin, Windsurf, or similar.
- Experience implementing and operating internal developer portals such as Backstage is a bonus qualification.
