Responsibilities
- Define and implement SRE practices, standards, and reliability engineering principles across applications and platforms.
- Improve system availability, scalability, performance, resilience, and fault tolerance while reducing recurring reliability risks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, production support, incident response, post-incident reviews, and root cause analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD templates with integrated security testing, vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and infrastructure hardening.
- Define and enforce secure infrastructure-as-code practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Set up and manage observability, monitoring, alerting, and logging for preproduction and production services.
- Troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead DevSecOps vision, roadmap, adoption, and transformation initiatives across distributed teams.
- Conduct code reviews, advise on application and infrastructure security architecture, and identify and remediate code vulnerabilities.
- Mentor engineers through training, documentation, workshops, and knowledge-sharing programs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD.
- Strong Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps tools.
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability management, and security tooling such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, and Black Duck.
- Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages and the ability to write secure code.
- Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or OpenShift and scanning tools such as Snyk, Trivy, and Aqua.
- Awareness of Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and other monitoring and log management solutions.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence and expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Ability to define a DevSecOps vision, lead transformation initiatives, evaluate security posture, mitigate risk, and collaborate across engineering, security, infrastructure, compliance, and global teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication, technical ownership, mentoring, prioritization, and stakeholder-influence skills.
