Responsibilities
- Own production reliability for critical Recon services and client-facing platforms, focusing on availability, scalability, operational efficiency, and client experience.
- Lead technical response, coordination, and service restoration during major production incidents.
- Identify recurring failure patterns, perform root-cause remediation, reduce technical debt, and prevent recurrence.
- Define and improve SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, reliability metrics, monitoring, telemetry, dashboards, alerting, and operational analytics.
- Deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS and enhance infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Maintain production governance, access controls, operational procedures, audit readiness, runbooks, documentation, MEPC execution, and operational reviews.
- Lead adoption of responsible AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, testing, incident analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Evolve and debug critical application and platform components and provide tools and solutions supporting firm growth.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical production environments in high-volume transaction or payment platforms.
- Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, Application Support, Platform Engineering, or Technology Operations principles.
- Proven experience leading complex production incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, service restoration, and recurrence elimination.
- Experience with observability technologies such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable platforms.
- Experience developing automation through scripting, system integrations, engineering tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or release automation.
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant engineering adoption.
- Proficiency with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Practical cloud-native experience and ability to independently solve design and functionality problems.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted engineering, and prompt engineering.
