Base Salary

$152k - $222k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency Java services for CPQ and large-scale commerce systems.
  • Build and support distributed software systems with demanding availability, latency, and scalability requirements.
  • Integrate commerce platforms with billing, invoicing, tax, contracts, supply chain, and manufacturing systems.
  • Partner with product management and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, performance improvements, and reliability initiatives.
  • Influence AI-assisted development practices and create or contribute to platform innovations and internal development accelerators.
  • Develop reporting interfaces, data feeds, data visualizations, RAG pipelines, semantic search capabilities, prompt libraries, custom agents, or evaluation frameworks as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience building web applications and integrations.
  • Experience designing and implementing high-throughput, low-latency Java services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience building distributed systems with availability, latency, and scalability requirements.
  • Experience with CI/CD and container orchestration tools including Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Spinnaker, and Docker.
  • Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor, or similar agentic development tools.
  • Proficiency with MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Preferred experience developing reporting interfaces, data feeds, or data visualizations for business or partner users.
  • Preferred knowledge of analytics and AI/ML technologies, including RAG pipelines and semantic search.
  • Preferred experience creating internal AI development accelerators such as prompt libraries, custom agents, or evaluation frameworks.
