Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle management of Ericsson’s ePDG (WMG) hosted on Ericsson NFVI.
- Optimize, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, patch, and implement enhancements to the solution.
- Manage incidents, problems, changes, vendor support, SLAs, maintenance windows, and major release upgrades.
- Develop and improve testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, acceptance testing, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues, maintain reliability, and support mobile core software releases.
- Develop automated monitoring and change strategies, including VNF deployments with VNF-M.
- Define disaster recovery plans and collaborate on security implementation, reporting, and patching.
- Provide on-call, standby, weekend, and night-shift support when required by duty calls or maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Several years of experience operating ePC/ePDG systems, with a strong focus on Voice over Wi-Fi services.
- Knowledge of virtual evolved packet core functionality, operability, and monitoring.
- Experience with Network Function Virtualization, including compute, memory, networking, SDN, OpenStack, and VNFM.
- Strong experience operating and monitoring VNF deployments.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge troubleshooting IPv4/IPv6 networks and TCP, UDP, BGP, BFD, and packet-tracing tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience troubleshooting Layer 2 switching networks, ideally with Arista and Juniper Junos.
- Familiarity with ETSI-MANO architecture, VNF-M procedures, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and VNF onboarding.
- Experience with Ubuntu Linux, SUSE Linux, datacenter routers and switches, and SDN concepts.
- Ability to document multifaceted technical requirements and work in classic and agile collaboration models.
- Willingness to participate in call-on-duty services and maintenance-window work when required.
