Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to understand challenges and design effective solutions.
- Measure, inspect, and use data to drive decisions.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new software solutions.
- Strengthen engineering processes using TDD, BDD, microservice architecture, and vertical slice architecture.
- Support live applications through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor peers, promote continuous learning, and become a subject matter expert in the functional area.
- Independently complete work, review solutions with others, and resolve complex issues through creative problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong proficiency in Angular and/or React.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience writing comprehensive unit tests and test suites.
- Understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines.
- Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule.
- Experience writing performant stored procedures and functions.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications and services.
- Experience with C#, Docker, modern relational databases, ASP.NET RESTful API design, and Kafka or event-driven design.
- Willingness or ability to quickly learn Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, and Azure.
