Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems.
- Own architecture, contribute to high-level design, and assess the impact of evolving technologies on the domain.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools and contributing solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, standards, and code review practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates through engineering practices and standards.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, preferably using Java, Python, Go, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- At least 6 years of experience with application development and/or data design, modeling, and architecture.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience mentoring junior and intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8 or more years leading the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with data privacy and regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to financial services.
- Preferred: Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
