Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, service boundaries, data flows, and technical debt strategy for Revenue Management systems.
- Build engineering pipelines, evaluation loops, and standards for systems developed and operated with agents.
- Stay hands-on with difficult production problems involving performance, correctness, migrations, and incidents.
- Design testing, evaluation, observability, human-in-the-loop controls, and safe failure mechanisms for pricing logic and agentic components.
- Define enforceable non-functional requirements covering latency, reliability, cost, and auditability.
- Lead through architecture decisions, design reviews, pairing, written documentation, and feedback across multiple engineering teams.
- Prototype emerging LLM and agent capabilities and turn successful approaches into reusable engineering foundations.
Requirements
- Many years of experience building and operating production backend systems while remaining hands-on in code.
- Strong experience with multiple programming languages and cloud solutions.
- Experience designing distributed systems that process high-volume data and make near-real-time decisions, including APIs, event streams, storage, consistency, and failure modes.
- Experience building or shipping LLM-based or agentic systems and evaluating, constraining, and monitoring their behavior.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to set direction across multiple teams.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce durable design documentation.
- Experience in pricing, revenue management, or another commercial decisioning domain.
