Base Salary
$170k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for developer-facing platform capabilities and third-party integrations.
- Design secure, well-documented, versioned APIs with a focus on developer experience, consistency, and usability.
- Lead projects independently from planning through delivery.
- Partner with Product leaders on ideation and implementation.
- Collaborate with multiple technology teams to design and deliver impactful features.
- Advocate for team needs and participate in strategic technical decisions.
Requirements
- Professional experience working within software engineering teams.
- At least 5 years of experience building backend services with Go, Java, Python, or C#; Go is not required initially, but candidates must be willing to learn and use it.
- Deep understanding of API concepts and design, system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with caching, serverless, API gateways, and other modern web infrastructure components.
- Experience creating and evaluating technical design documents.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Strong project execution ability and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: experience in a fast-paced, regulated, client-facing environment and designing public APIs or developer platforms.

- Annual U.S. base salary range of $170,000–$205,000, excluding other compensation and benefits.
