Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production services and data pipelines using Python and .NET.
- Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with .NET 8, including data contracts and automated testing.
- Build Python-based data pipelines on AWS Batch for ingestion, transformation, and loading into Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Develop document parsing and transformation workflows using Pandas, BeautifulSoup, and XML/HTML tools.
- Use AI coding tools and LLMs while ensuring generated code is secure, maintainable, and high quality.
- Design and operate AWS workflows using S3, Batch, Lambda, SNS, EKS, and CloudWatch.
- Own code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, production support, and the full development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with QA and stakeholders, participate in team processes, and support onboarding and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience in a production environment, ideally with data-intensive systems or pipelines.
- Practical experience with .NET/C# and building REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on AWS experience, particularly with S3, Batch, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, and CloudWatch.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including query development, schema design, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of unit, integration, and automated testing.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to document technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Python 3.10+ and Pandas experience are nice to have.
- Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or other LLM/agentic frameworks is nice to have.
- Familiarity with OpenSearch or vector databases for RAG applications is nice to have.
