Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and provide QA for a complex cloud-based software planning system.
- Write backend infrastructure and frontend web applications.
- Design and implement APIs and integrate software systems.
- Develop software documentation, including software designs and interface design descriptions.
- Design and implement user interfaces.
- Work primarily onsite at a government lab with external development partners and other stakeholders.
- Create well-designed, maintainable, and extensible code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Math, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience as a Software Engineer or Developer.
- Active Secret Clearance and eligibility to access classified information.
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a security investigation.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating software systems.
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with full-stack web application development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey design concepts clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with partner organizations in a team environment.
- Desired experience with MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Spring Boot, React, Redux, WebGL, or OpenGL.
- Desired familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Desired experience with formal software documentation, user-interface design, DevSecOps, and troubleshooting.
- Math background in Probability/Statistics, Linear Algebra, or Multivariate Calculus is desired.
- Prior experience with the U.S. Navy or other Department of Defense services or agencies is desired.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance is desired.
