Responsibilities
- Lead the development and architecture of scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
- Design fault-tolerant and highly available systems with observability, testing, replication, and resilience mechanisms to meet SLOs.
- Optimize the performance of OCI critical components, internal tools, and applications while improving scalability and reducing cloud expenses.
- Drive operational readiness, production troubleshooting, security, compliance, infrastructure automation, patching, upgrades, and rollbacks.
- Provide peer mentorship and contribute to a culture of performance engineering.
Requirements
- Principal-level software engineering experience designing and building distributed cloud systems is required.
- Experience with scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available systems and hyperscale workloads is required.
- Knowledge of observability, testing, replication, resilience, security, compliance, infrastructure automation, and production operations is required.
- Ability to lead architecture and development in a greenfield environment and mentor peers is required.
