Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and evaluate generative models and AI systems for physical signals including time series and images.
- Develop sensing algorithms using physical signal understanding, digital signal processing, and time-series analysis.
- Collaborate with algorithm, firmware, and software engineers to deliver features from prototyping through production.
- Train and evaluate machine learning models using real-world sensor and physical measurement data.
- Design rigorous experiments, interpret results, report negative findings honestly, and validate claims against real data.
- Drive challenging ideas through production or real-world deployment and communicate technical findings clearly across disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related STEM field.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry or research experience.
- Hands-on experience developing generative AI models or systems through shipped products, publications, or substantial projects.
- Experience working with real-world sensor or physical measurement data, including time series and images.
- Strong foundation in digital signal processing and time-series analysis, including filtering, spectral analysis, and feature extraction.
- Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with a modern deep learning framework such as PyTorch.
- Preferred qualifications include an MS or PhD in machine learning, signal processing, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes training generative or other machine learning models on time-series, sensor, audio, or image data at scale on GPU clusters.
- Preferred experience with statistically rigorous experiments, reproducible research practices, LLM-based AI assistants and agents, C/C++, and embedded or resource-constrained systems.
- Excellent communication, persistence, and cross-functional collaboration skills across algorithms, firmware, and software disciplines.
