Responsibilities
- Work as a Service Architect to deliver end-to-end product development for switching solutions.
- Develop full-stack, online, real-time application features using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, messaging, event-driven frameworks, and cloud-native technologies.
- Ensure quality, performance, information security, and other non-functional requirements are met.
- Guide and mentor teams and train developers on relevant technologies.
- Coordinate with business owners, product owners, enterprise architecture teams, product teams, development and test teams, vendors, and global stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to improve automation, defect metrics, and overall quality.
- Conduct proofs of concept based on technological and business needs.
- Determine the tools, technologies, and patterns to implement for the service.
- Follow Mastercard security policies, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected security violations, and complete required security training.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, object-oriented design, clean programming, SOLID design principles, and reusable, scalable components.
- Strong experience in product development using digital-native architecture, Spring Boot, and cloud technology, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and modern caching and persistence mechanisms.
- Extensive experience developing online, real-time application features.
- Ability to analyze business needs and create advanced technical solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to guide teams technically and work with multiple stakeholders and vendors across locations.
- Experience working in an Agile SAFe development environment.
- Commitment to Mastercard’s information security policies and practices.
