Base Salary

$105k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-team evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability at scale.
  • Define versioning, deprecation, compatibility, and safe rollout strategies.
  • Drive observability, SLO, error budget, resilience, capacity planning, and service reliability practices across workloads.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, optimize, and maintain scalable software and APIs.
  • Implement API lifecycle, versioning, and interoperability strategies.
  • Provide architecture guidance, technical coaching, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers.
  • Investigate complex cross-service, customer, maintenance, and defect issues and help define short- and long-term solutions.
  • Lead or coordinate moderately complex projects, timelines, deliverables, and work across multiple teams.
  • Participate in technology evaluation, candidate interviews, and hiring recommendations.
  • Create migration guides, adoption playbooks, and documentation that improve ecosystem consistency and developer experience.

Requirements

  • Advanced software development knowledge with experience designing and implementing scalable software, systems, services, APIs, or middleware.
  • Experience with software architecture, interoperability, versioning, deprecation, rollout, performance optimization, observability, and resilience practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex software, API, integration, maintenance, or customer-reported issues.
  • Ability to lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, coach engineers, and coordinate work across teams.
  • Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance, secure coding, monitoring, logging, and system maintenance practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and customers, document solutions, and align technical work with business and operational goals.
