Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate a Golden Path platform built on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
- Provide technical and architectural leadership for a highly available, resilient, distributed next-generation control plane.
- Lead, support, and mentor team members.
- Create and maintain SLOs and KPIs in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Support teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and guide restoration and repair of service-impacting issues.
- Eliminate operational toil through code fixes and automation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Deep experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong understanding of Linux internals, containerization, and networking.
- Knowledge of Go and comfort using Python or Bash for scripting.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Crossplane, Pulumi, Terraform, or Ansible.
- In-depth experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and dependencies with methodical curiosity.
