Responsibilities
- Develop and execute service-level and user-level tests using black-box, gray-box, and white-box techniques.
- Create scalable automated testing for the Search stack across multiple dependencies, locales, and device types.
- Troubleshoot Search escalations, regression issues, software internals, and performance bottlenecks.
- Write complex SQL queries to debug search logs and replay customer scenarios.
- Partner with engineering, business, product, user interaction, and customer support teams to develop test plans and regression suites.
- Diagnose release problems, perform root-cause analysis, escalate issues when needed, and report test progress, metrics, and defects.
- Drive software development processes toward quality-focused practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of quality assurance engineering experience.
- Experience with automation testing and manual testing.
- Experience with UI and API automation testing using Selenium and SOAPUI.
- Experience troubleshooting issues and performing root-cause analysis.
- Experience with SQL.
- Preferred: experience with API and mobile testing.
- Preferred: experience designing test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets for adequate coverage and control.
