Responsibilities
- Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable cloud-based infrastructure.
- Develop automation scripts, tools, and workflows to reduce manual operations and improve reliability.
- Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and metrics, and participate in on-call and incident response rotations.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs while addressing reliability and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in root cause analyses, post-incident reviews, documentation, and runbook maintenance.
- Collaborate with senior SREs and software engineers and gradually take ownership of more complex systems.
- Identify opportunities to modernize automation, monitoring, and reliability practices.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization, with AWS preferred.
- Extensive hands-on experience with container orchestration technologies including EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience supporting production-grade, high-availability systems with defined SLIs and SLOs.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals, including load balancing, DNS, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or Chef.
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, Bash, or Java for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Datadog.
- Exposure to distributed systems, SQL/NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
