$221k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable web solutions embedded within the Credit Karma mobile app.
- Drive technical strategy, engineering standards, cross-team execution, and resolution of complex dependencies for the front-end domain.
- Develop high-performance hybrid mobile-web experiences with deep linking, state management, webviews, and native-app transitions.
- Identify and guide AI, agentic workflow, and LLM opportunities for solving financial problems and improving member experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and native Mobile Architecture teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor Staff, Senior, and Junior engineers and raise engineering quality across multiple teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years developing software for large-scale, consumer-facing applications, with technical leadership at the Staff or Senior Staff level.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience building complex responsive web applications for iOS/Android webviews or hybrid application wrappers.
- 5+ years designing complex distributed systems or front-end platforms that scale to millions of users.
- Strong understanding of server-side rendering, static site generation, and front-end performance optimization.
- Hands-on production AI integration experience or strong knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or modern AI frameworks such as LangChain is highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs to senior product and business leaders.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Expected base pay is $220,500–$298,500 annually in Oakland.
