Base Salary

$147k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Integrate robot control software and hardware interfaces with a common robotics SDK across simulated and physical platforms, end effectors, and wearable devices.
  • Build, validate, and maintain physics simulation environments and software-in-the-loop harnesses that model on-robot software, control loops, and hardware interfaces.
  • Run and maintain an on-robot execution harness for local and remote machine learning action models in real time.
  • Connect robotic platforms to teleoperation and data-logging systems to capture synchronized sensor streams, robot actions, and demonstrations for model training.
  • Develop fleet orchestration and evaluation tools for standardized benchmarks and data collection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing, integrating, and debugging software for simulated and physical robotic systems.
  • Experience with physics simulation environments such as MuJoCo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or Gazebo.
  • Experience integrating cameras, IMUs, encoders, or tactile sensors; actuator interfaces; and real-time control loops into robotics software stacks.
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience building core components of robotics software stacks, SDKs, or hardware abstraction layers.
  • Preferred: experience deploying or running machine learning policies, including Vision-Language-Action models or reinforcement learning controllers, on physical robots.
  • Preferred: experience with system identification, actuator and sensor modeling, sim-to-real transfer, teleoperation systems, motion tracking hardware, wearable data collection devices, dexterous hands, calibration verification, system health monitoring, or hardware-in-the-loop test pipelines.

Benefits

  • US base salary is listed as $147000-$210000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
  • The role is based in the Cambridge lab and involves collaboration with hardware, simulation, machine learning, and research teams.
