Base Salary
$44k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and maintain APIs and applications powering Cisco platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable backend code and design RESTful services and distributed architectures.
- Contribute to frontend systems as project needs demand.
- Troubleshoot software issues collaboratively and develop scalable, reliable services.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's undergraduate degree program and expected to continue enrollment after the internship.
- Pursuing computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, and core software engineering workflows and development environments.
- Preferred: proficiency in at least two of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or React.
- Preferred: object-oriented programming experience and exposure to C/C++ or JavaScript.
- Preferred: experience with RESTful services, distributed systems, or microservices.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP and deployment or automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: exposure to networking fundamentals, cloud security, or DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
