  • Translate evolving 3GPP releases, operator requirements, and O-RAN priorities into software designs, reusable components, and test workflows.
  • Develop automation and tooling for protocol conformance, interoperability, and performance validation across RAN-facing scenarios.
  • Partner with systems, RF, protocol, product, customers, and partners to reproduce field issues, identify root causes, and deliver solutions.
  • Create design documents, test plans, trace and PCAP interpretations, and technical notes.
  • Help shape Open RAN architectures, interfaces, and multi-vendor wireless ecosystems.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on 3GPP LTE/NR expertise with a clear RAN focus, including L1/L2/L3 procedures, scheduling, mobility, bearers, signaling, and performance metrics.
  • Typically 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strategic scope and impact valued alongside tenure.
  • Strong C/C++ coding skills and/or modern Python for automation and tooling.
  • Experience developing in Linux environments.
  • Ability to debug distributed and real-time systems using logs, traces, protocol analyzers, KPIs, timing analysis, and performance investigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Preferred: RAN product development involving gNB/eNB, RAN performance optimization, or complex-system feature verification.
  • Preferred: familiarity with O-RAN architecture and interfaces, including O-RU, O-DU, O-CU, fronthaul, and RIC concepts.
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD, test frameworks, containers, or cloud-based deployment environments.
