Responsibilities
- Own weekly cloud release qualification end to end and provide final release sign-off.
- Build and evolve scalable functional, integration, performance, and fault-test infrastructure for the Inference Cloud platform.
- Analyze the full stack from client SDK and API through gateway, inference software, driver, and hardware to identify root causes.
- Review developer pull requests, understand their blast radius, and design tests that exercise the actual risk.
- Expand automation coverage, eliminate flaky tests, and use AI tooling to accelerate test creation, debugging, and analysis.
- Set quality standards for testing and release readiness, prioritizing high-value tests over volume metrics.
- Collaborate with platform, ML, infrastructure, and product engineering teams across time zones to influence quality outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test engineering, or a closely related role, including substantial individual-contributor work on large-scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
- Deep cloud platform experience, preferably AWS, including networking, compute orchestration, container platforms, and multi-region production services.
- Demonstrated experience building scalable test frameworks, harnesses, environments, and automation.
- Strong systems debugging and reasoning skills across unfamiliar, multi-layered failures.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or C++.
- Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills, with the ability to work across time zones.
- Ability to self-direct, frame ambiguous problems, make trade-off decisions, and challenge quality risks.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, model serving systems, or GPU-accelerated workloads is preferred.
- Experience using AI tooling such as LLMs, coding assistants, or agents for test development, triage, or analysis is preferred.
Benefits
- Opportunity to build and work on a breakthrough AI platform and one of the fastest AI supercomputers.
- Opportunities to publish and open-source cutting-edge AI research.
- Startup vitality with stated job stability and a simple, non-corporate work culture.
- Continuous learning, growth, and support in an inclusive and diverse work environment.
