Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to improve service availability, performance, and security.
  • Plan and deploy product releases with operational rigor and quality gates in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Build shared services, monitoring, alerting, trend analysis, self-healing automation, automated tests, deployments, and operational tooling.
  • Design services for 24x7 availability, operational readiness, and reliable incident response.
  • Lead smaller projects, provide stakeholder updates, and mentor SRE I engineers.
  • Build automated health checks and AI-assisted diagnosis jobs to correlate monitoring signals and reduce incident resolution time.
  • Maintain automation pipelines integrating Rundeck, Jenkins, and AI/LLM tooling for observability, runbook execution, and incident triage.
  • Develop AWS CloudWatch metrics, alarms, and dashboards; instrument services with OpenTelemetry/Alloy; and create Grafana observability visualizations.
  • Integrate alerting and event-correlation workflows across PagerDuty, BigPanda, and Splunk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in site reliability, production engineering, or software operations.
  • Strong technical skills, personal initiative, consistent delivery, teamwork, prioritization, and ability to work without direct management guidance.
  • Preferred experience with financial services technology, mortgage platforms, or exchange infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with SLI, SLO, and error budget management.
  • Exposure to Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS observability services, CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry/Alloy, Splunk, BigPanda, PagerDuty, Rundeck, and Jenkins.
  • Experience integrating AI/LLM-based tooling into operational workflows.
