Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to improve availability, performance, and security of platform services.
- Plan and deploy product releases with Product and Engineering teams using operational rigor and quality gates.
- Build and evolve shared services for platform and application teams.
- Design monitoring, alerting, trend analysis, self-healing automation, and post-deployment health checks.
- Implement automated tests, deployments, operational tooling, and automation pipelines across the SRE toolchain.
- Ensure services meet 24x7 availability and operational-readiness requirements.
- Lead smaller projects, provide stakeholder updates, mentor SRE I engineers, and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
- Build AI-assisted diagnosis jobs and integrate AI/LLM tooling into observability, runbook execution, incident triage, and event correlation workflows.
- Develop AWS CloudWatch metrics, alarms, and dashboards; instrument services with OpenTelemetry/Alloy; and create Grafana visualizations.
- Integrate PagerDuty, BigPanda, and Splunk alerting and event-correlation workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in site reliability, production engineering, or software operations.
- Strong technical skills, personal initiative, consistent delivery, teamwork, prioritization, and ability to execute independently.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including SLI, SLO, and error budget management.
- Preferred experience with financial services technology, mortgage platforms, or exchange infrastructure.
- Preferred familiarity with Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent infrastructure automation frameworks.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AWS observability services, CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry/Alloy, Splunk, BigPanda, PagerDuty, Rundeck, and Jenkins.
- Preferred experience integrating AI/LLM-based tooling into operational workflows.
