Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases and scripts for functional, integration, regression, and other verification activities.
- Translate functional requirements and design specifications into quality automated test cases, test plans, and test data.
- Perform manual and automated testing, production validation, defect identification, defect tracking, and defect management.
- Write, review, and maintain automation scripts for software testing and task delivery, including reports, data management, and environment setup.
- Participate in requirements reviews, product design discussions, project meetings, release activities, and delivery process improvements.
- Coordinate testing-team activities, facilitate defect management meetings, and provide status updates.
- Analyze testing metrics and identify opportunities for corrective action.
- Support automation of data and environments and provide production support as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of automation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or engineering.
- Required experience with Python programming and API testing.
- Three years of experience with industry-standard testing, development, quality assurance methodologies, and validation processes is preferred.
- Experience with Ruby/Cucumber or SpecFlow, including two to four years of building automation scripts, is preferred.
- Experience with Quality Center, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Test Manager, SQL Server, SOAP UI, mainframes, RubyMine, Ruby, Cucumber, and web technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of keyword, modular, and data-driven frameworks; performance testing with JMeter or other open-source technologies; database and service testing; and Ruby gems is preferred.
- Three or more years of experience with Scrum and implementation of TDD or ATDD is preferred.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, preferably Ruby, C#, or Java, MVC web development frameworks, and industry-standard databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Testing, agile, or development certifications such as CSTE, CQAA, ISTQB, PSM, PSD, CSM, MCSD, or OCAJP are preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, learning, training, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
