Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed-system components for OCI Networking’s data plane.
- Build fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
- Implement functional, performance, load, fault-injection, brown-out, and reliability testing.
- Build dashboards, telemetry, alarms, and alerting systems to monitor component health.
- Diagnose operational issues, participate in incident response and root-cause investigations, and create troubleshooting automation.
- Apply encryption, access controls, remediation plans, and compliance practices in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Maintain infrastructure-as-code automation and follow patching, updating, rollback, and change-management procedures.
- Collaborate across OCI Networking and Infrastructure teams while tracking work with limited supervision.
Requirements
- Strong computer science fundamentals and a deep understanding of networking and routing.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to design for scalability, reliability, correctness, availability, and operational support.
- Ability to implement testing, observability, incident-management, and automation solutions.
- Ability to apply security measures and support compliance in multi-tenant environments.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve processes.
