Principal Clinical Programmer (Rave Programming)

Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain clinical programming deliverables for annotated Case Report Forms, database creation, coding setup, edit checks, imports, exports, listings, and custom reports.
- Program moderate-to-complex Rave custom functions and perform study builds, migrations, publish checks, PPC, and TSDV activities.
- Provide application administration, technical support, troubleshooting, system integration, application updates, and user acceptance testing.
- Lead development activities and provide oversight for five to twenty concurrent clinical studies, including project metrics, status, resources, scope, budgets, and change orders.
- Provide senior review of program-level and multi-study deliverables and support sponsor and in-progress audits.
- Lead, mentor, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical programmers and assign and review their project work.
- Collaborate with clients, programmers, project teams, vendors, and requestors to finalize specifications and resolve technical or delivery issues.
- Manage application vendors, monitor service-level agreements, report vendor metrics, and oversee hosted-system upgrades and new-module implementations.
- Participate in bid defenses, project and departmental reviews, Quick Start Camps, standard operating procedure updates, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of overall experience in clinical programming or a related field.
- At least 2 years of Custom Functions programming experience, including moderate-to-complex functions.
- Experience with Rave Programming, migration activities, Publish Check, PPC, TSDV, and study build programming.
- SDBE Rave certification is mandatory.
- Preferred experience with Veeva CDMS.
- Experience providing technical leadership, project oversight, mentoring, supervision, vendor management, and client collaboration.
- Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education will also be considered.
