Responsibilities
- Automate testing for web applications, web services, APIs, and complex system integrations.
- Perform manual, sanity, functional, exploratory, integration, and system testing.
- Create test cases and exploratory testing charters from requirements.
- Use SQL and database validation techniques to verify application data.
- Test REST and SOAP web APIs using tools such as RestSharp, Fiddler, Postman, and JSON Lint.
- Collaborate with leads, functional analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Document testing activities, maintain required records, and communicate status, issues, and objectives.
- Plan and follow test schedules and project delivery timelines.
- Participate in user story reviews and provide input on requirements, acceptance criteria, schedules, and potential problems.
- Support production releases planned over weekends and escalate blocking issues or deviations from standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of experience in manual testing, automation testing, integration testing, and web API testing.
- Experience with C# and Selenium automation testing.
- Experience with SpecFlow or another BDD framework.
- Experience testing SOAP and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with RestSharp, Fiddler, Postman, and JSON Lint.
- Experience with CI tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, MTM, and ALM.
- Strong database and SQL skills.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC lifecycles.
- Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- BE, MCA, or another equivalent degree.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and knowledge-sharing abilities.
- Ability to work with large distributed local and international teams and support weekend production releases.
