Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise Java applications for Apple’s global Online Store platform.
- Deliver complex, distributed, high-volume software solutions.
- Build and deploy scalable cloud applications and Kubernetes-orchestrated services.
- Work with databases, APIs, Git, build tools, and software development lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and contribute to technical and development process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant industry experience or equivalent.
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise applications.
- Proven experience delivering complex solutions for multi-tier, distributed, high-volume applications.
- Proficiency in Java, object-oriented concepts, and the enterprise Java ecosystem.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational database technologies.
- Experience with Git, build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts including high availability, load balancing, and replication.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience deploying public-cloud applications, particularly on AWS; building scalable microservices with containerization and Kubernetes; Clean Code and Test Driven Development; Agile and DevOps environments; and GraphQL or modern API paradigms.
