Base Salary
$137k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop production machine learning solutions for personalized shopping experiences across grocery, convenience, and other retail categories.
- Conceptualize, design, implement, and validate algorithmic improvements for growth, personalization, and consumer search relevance.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to shape the product roadmap through machine learning.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Lead cross-functional pods to create collective impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience developing machine learning models with business impact and shipping ML solutions to production.
- Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, or another quantitative field.
- Expertise in applied machine learning for causal inference and recommendation systems, including classical and deep learning approaches.
- Machine learning experience with Python.
- PyTorch or TensorFlow experience is preferred.
- Additional familiarity with explore/exploit algorithms, multi-armed bandit algorithms, and LLMs is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical details to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated rigorous, data-driven testing and progress evaluation.
- Collaborative, growth-minded approach and desire to create significant impact.
