Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale distributed ML infrastructure and tooling, including the Simulation and Benchmark platform, for Gemini post-training and GCP AI adoption.
- Lead AI quality initiatives including agentic self-improvement, evaluation workflows, Gemini upstreaming, and automated quality gates for first-party skills.
- Lead software design and automated testing, participate in on-call rotations, and optimize test and production environments for reliability and performance.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, enforce architectural best practices, and cultivate a high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of software design and architecture experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization.
- At least 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, or fine-tuning.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience includes 8 years with data structures and algorithms, 3 years in technical leadership, and 3 years working in complex, matrixed, cross-functional organizations.
