Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical roadmap, system architecture, and execution for ML algorithms that generate driving trajectories for autonomous vehicles and other road users.
- Drive architecture reviews and build scalable software and infrastructure foundations for behavior machine learning development.
- Provide end-to-end system ownership and architectural direction for ML-first behavior prediction and planning.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with perception, planning, research, and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Shape engineering best practices and support production autonomous-system development across passenger vehicles, trucking, and mining.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proven technical leadership experience, including leading complex projects, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural direction.
- Proven experience shipping production machine learning software in complex, real-world environments.
- Expertise in at least one of modeling, input pipelines, evaluation, deployment, or model optimization.
- Experience with the end-to-end development cycle of deep learning models.
- At least 3 years of experience building production software using modern software practices.
- Fluency in Python and intermediate experience with C++.
- Preferred qualifications include peer-reviewed machine learning research, experience with driver assistance or autonomous driving systems, and experience evaluating and improving system-in-the-loop model performance.
