Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and improve the end-to-end Coupang Eats search system.
- Build and implement machine learning models and foundational models across the search funnel.
- Research, fine-tune, and apply LLM-based models to improve search quality.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to discover meaningful features and improve model performance.
- Design and analyze online experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to validate hypotheses.
- Solve search-related problems across multiple business verticals in Korea and Japan.
- Balance trade-offs between search quality, system stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models using large-scale datasets in production environments.
- Proven track record of solving complex problems through data-driven approaches.
- Strong ability to quickly learn, proactively identify problems, and deliver business impact.
- Experience collaborating across teams and contributing to technical decision-making.
- Proficiency in Python or Java with hands-on development experience.
