Responsibilities
- Assist with building observability, monitoring, and alerting for key services.
- Partner with senior engineers and product teams to understand reliability and scalability needs for new features.
- Write and maintain basic scripts and tools to reduce toil and improve engineering velocity.
- Contribute to blameless post-mortems and continuous improvement.
- Assist with disaster recovery and systems resiliency testing.
- Support migration of Customer and Clearing applications to Google Cloud Platform.
- Begin participating in the on-call rotation after training and mentorship, with senior-engineer support.
Requirements
- Foundational programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, C++, or Bash demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Passion for technology and a strong desire to build a career in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a curious mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
