Responsibilities
- Develop strategic target architectures and architecture roadmaps across the manufacturing value chain.
- Evaluate Industry 4.0, digital twin, and modern platform trends for architectural relevance.
- Design end-to-end solutions for business systems including CRM, ERP, PLM, and MES.
- Translate business requirements into implementable technical solutions with business, IT, and management stakeholders.
- Design integration architectures covering middleware, API management, event-driven architecture, shopfloor integration, and real-time data exchange.
- Conduct architecture assessments and support make-or-buy decisions during selection and procurement processes.
- Define architecture principles, standards, governance guardrails, and suitable architecture operating models.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in IT consulting or architecture roles in demanding industrial environments.
- Ability to understand complex relationships and translate them into clear architectural target models.
- Ability to communicate technically complex topics clearly to stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including R&D, production, supply chain, and sales and service.
- Architecture experience with ERP and CRM/CX solutions such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce.
- Experience building or integrating PLM, CAD, or MES solutions in shopfloor-related environments.
- Strong knowledge of modern integration concepts, API management, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud ecosystems and modern infrastructure concepts.
- Practical experience with TOGAF and modeling notations such as UML or ArchiMate.
- Preferred: architecture or cloud certifications such as TOGAF, CPSA/iSAQB, or Azure/AWS Architect.
- Preferred: practical Industry 4.0 knowledge, industrial standards, industrial data platforms, AI use-case integration, and security architecture topics such as Zero Trust, identity management, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001.
- Preferred: experience with Scrum or SAFe in customer environments.
