Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Azure DevOps solutions covering CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native designs.
- Design multi-stage pipelines and modernize legacy pipelines to YAML and GitHub Actions.
- Lead AKS lifecycle, networking, security, scaling, RBAC, and multi-region resiliency strategy.
- Develop Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, release templates, and enterprise deployment standards.
- Oversee automated build, test, deployment, configuration management, and backlog execution.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex deployment and automation incidents.
- Define governance for branching, versioning, Helm packaging, release promotion, secrets, dependencies, scanning, and hardening.
- Implement security and compliance controls across Azure, AKS, and CI/CD environments.
- Establish observability, SRE practices, reliability metrics, and delivery improvements.
- Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, QA, product, and global engineering teams on technical decisions.
- Maintain architecture, CI/CD, runbook, and dependency documentation.
- Mentor engineers and deliver training on CI/CD, Kubernetes, automation, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of hands-on Azure experience.
- Expertise with AKS cluster design, networking, security, RBAC, scaling, and multi-region deployments.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, Application Gateway/WAF, App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, Azure SQL, Traffic Manager, Key Vault, Service Bus, and Azure Monitoring tools.
- Advanced GitHub and Azure DevOps skills, including branching, YAML pipelines, release governance, and platform migrations.
- Expertise with Docker, multi-stage Dockerfiles, Helm, Kubernetes deployments, ingress, config maps, secrets, RBAC, network policies, and Helm charts.
- Experience with Terraform or Bicep, ARM templates, Ansible or Ansible Tower, and preferably Flux or Argo CD.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Advanced experience with SonarQube, Mend, AquaSec, secrets management, container security, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, or Node.js, plus scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python and strong YAML skills.
- Experience integrating with Azure, GitHub, and Kubernetes APIs and working with observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, and Log Analytics.
- Understanding of SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CKA, or CKAD.
- Experience leading global teams, large-scale CI/CD modernization, SRE and observability implementations, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization is preferred.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI agents, AI/ML operations, or OpenAI integration is a plus.
