Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver high- and low-level architectures, designs, technology roadmaps, and architecture blueprints for business-critical global products and platforms.
  • Lead or potentially manage teams of solution and technical architects and set technology direction for large portfolios or products.
  • Own the technology, architecture, and design landscape from solutioning through delivery, adoption, and support.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments, build-versus-buy analyses, vendor evaluations, proofs of concept, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, information security, product, and project teams to deliver compliant and scalable architectures.
  • Define reusable technical and functional assets, architecture standards, design guidelines, and governance practices.
  • Coach, mentor, and support development teams through delivery, code reviews, and architecture, design, and quality reviews.
  • Support product and project managers with planning, estimates, forecasts, costs, risks, and quality considerations.
  • Provide technical leadership, advisory services, conflict mediation, and stakeholder communication across global distributed teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and promote technical quality, experimentation, knowledge sharing, hackathons, and communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • 15+ years of overall IT industry experience and 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role using private or public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
  • Proven experience leading and governing global architecture teams and complex large-scale product, platform, or project ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience with application, infrastructure or cloud, integration, data, or security architecture and end-to-end product or platform delivery.
  • Expert-level experience designing and developing distributed, scalable products and platforms across hybrid or multi-platform cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert-level skills in multiple programming and scripting languages, SQL and NoSQL databases, big data processing, data analytics, machine learning, and authentication and authorization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of architectural styles and design patterns, including application-based, microservices, container, event-driven, data-streaming, and data-transformation architectures.
  • Experience with native cloud, full-stack application, data, security, AI, automation, Agile, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions and recommendations effectively to business partners, vendors, and diverse global stakeholders.
  • One or more relevant certifications is preferred, such as Microsoft or Microsoft Azure, TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified, Pivotal, CISSP, Zachman, ITIL, Cisco, ISC2, CEH, SAFe, PMI, or SAP.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code, generative AI, data reporting, data management and governance, mobile applications, and deep cloud security concepts is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills; willingness to work with globally distributed teams and travel when required.
