Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of software or infrastructure solutions for large or complex projects.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting while resolving complex and escalated project issues.
- Provide advanced technical expertise, identify continuous improvements, and contribute to technology standards and processes.
- Collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Architecture teams to build and deliver technical solutions.
- Lead the work group by establishing appropriate expectations, structures, tools, responsibilities, and delivery practices.
- Develop and evaluate AI systems, including language-model fine-tuning, embeddings, agentic systems, metrics, A/B tests, and performance benchmarks.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of C#, Java, or Python.
- More than 10 years of applied experience and significant experience in software or platform engineering.
- Technical experience delivering software or platform engineering solutions, providing technical advice, and handling user requirements.
- Experience with code management, configuration management, and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for tasks such as text generation, summarization, or question answering.
- Knowledge of embedding models and their use in similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with designing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools or environments.
- Ability to design evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents, including metrics, A/B testing, and benchmarking.
- Significant experience building applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Microsoft, Google, or AWS certifications are advantageous.
