Responsibilities
- Define the EY Fabric developer experience reference architecture and establish reusable golden paths for development, deployment, testing, and release workflows.
- Develop repository scaffolds, pipeline templates, starter kits, sample implementations, onboarding checklists, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Set standards for GitHub, CI/CD, branching, code review, artifact management, secrets handling, deployment approvals, and release governance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align developer experience patterns with platform capabilities and roadmap direction.
- Identify recurring post-sales delivery friction and convert it into reusable tooling, automation, documentation, and standardized workflows.
- Measure developer experience effectiveness through adoption, onboarding speed, reduced bespoke pipelines, developer feedback, and delivery repeatability.
- Provide technical leadership, review accelerators and golden paths, coach teams, and mentor mid-level DevEx Architects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or architecture with Python or Java.
- Deep experience with software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, release management, and automation.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, reusable templates, engineering standards, self-service developer capabilities, or similar platform assets.
- Strong understanding of secure software delivery practices, operational readiness, and developer documentation.
- Ability to influence distributed engineering teams and communicate with engineering and leadership audiences.
- Modern AI practices, including understanding of LLM and RAG concepts.
- Cloud, DevOps, GitHub, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
