Responsibilities
- Define the EY Fabric developer-experience reference architecture across onboarding, repositories, CI/CD, environments, testing, deployment, observability, and operational handoff.
- Establish reusable golden paths for application onboarding, pipeline setup, environment provisioning, code promotion, testing, and release management.
- Develop repository scaffolds, pipeline templates, starter kits, sample implementations, onboarding checklists, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Define standards for GitHub, branching, code review, artifact management, secrets handling, deployment approvals, and release governance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align developer-experience patterns with platform capabilities and roadmap direction.
- Identify recurring post-sales implementation friction and convert it into reusable tooling, automation, and documentation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex developer-experience issues affecting delivery velocity, quality, or platform consistency.
- Define handoff expectations between Domain Architecture and Forward Deployed Engineer teams.
- Measure adoption of golden paths, reduction in bespoke pipelines, onboarding speed, developer feedback, and delivery repeatability.
- Maintain architecture assets in EY Fabric repositories and internal knowledge hubs.
- Provide technical leadership, review accelerators and templates, and mentor DevEx Architects and contributors.
- Evaluate tradeoffs among developer autonomy, governance, security, and platform consistency and prioritize reusable accelerators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or architecture.
- Experience with Python or Java, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, release management, and automation.
- Deep experience building internal developer platforms, reusable templates, engineering standards, or self-service developer capabilities.
- Experience creating reusable developer-platform assets, golden paths, or delivery accelerators.
- Strong understanding of secure software delivery practices and operational readiness.
- Ability to create clear developer documentation and practical implementation assets.
- Ability to influence engineering behavior across distributed teams and communicate with engineering and leadership audiences.
- Exposure to modern AI practices, including LLM and RAG concepts.
- Cloud, DevOps, GitHub, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
