Responsibilities

  • Help build solutions and tools for next-generation autonomous-vehicle platforms.
  • Collaborate with researchers, software developers, and internal multidisciplinary teams to advance automotive innovation.
  • Contribute to projects involving positioning, perception, planning, robotics, sensor fusion, embedded software, systems engineering, or safety-critical automotive development.
  • Participate in Qualcomm’s 11–14-week Summer 2027 internship program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2027, between May and September.
  • Expected graduation date must be November 2027 or later.
  • At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Preferred qualifications include enrollment in a master’s or Ph.D. program and experience with positioning, perception, planning, ADAS, autonomy, or autonomous driving.
  • Preferred technical experience includes functional safety, ASPICE, ASIL, ISO26262, MISRA C++, AUTOSAR C++, ROS/ROS2, DDS, Adaptive AUTOSAR, robotics, lidar, scene segmentation, object detection, sensor fusion, SLAM, and motion planning.
  • Preferred experience includes embedded driver development, operating-system and multiprocessor concepts, systems engineering, SysML, MBSE, model-based development, safety analysis, DFMEA, FMEDA, and system modeling tools.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Shell is preferred.
